Thyme syrup
Ingredients
– 2 bowlfuls of dried thyme leaves
– 33.8 fl. oz (1 liter) of water
– 2.2 lb. (1 kg) of sugar
– 1 saucepan
Preparation
– Put thyme in a saucepan
– Add boiling water (33.8 fl. oz./1 liter)
– Infuse this mixture for 1 day
Thyme syrup for cough
– Filter the mixture and then add 2.2 lb. (1 kg) of sugar
Thyme syrup for bronchitis
– Cook the mixture on low heat for 1 hour then skim
– Pour into bottles when the mixture (syrup) is cold
Dosage
– 4 teaspoons (20 mL) 3 times a day
Shelf life:
– 6 to 12 months, stored in a dry place
